A few months agone I shared my recipe for Oven Roasted Chickpeas, just then completely forgot to share this sweet and salty version! I love the savory spiced version, but the combination of salty and sugariness is one of my absolute favorites and these Sweetness & Salty Roasted Chickpeas are the perfect mode to sneak that sweetness into a healthy, loftier-poly peptide snack!

These also brand a fantastic later on school snack for kids. My kids devour these little suckers and I pretty much honey information technology when I tin discover healthy snacks like this that they request. Who knew chickpeas could be and so yummy?!

Anyway, now onto the recipe. The process is exactly the same as the savory version, so I ofttimes double the recipe and practice some of each, or even iii or 4 season variations using different spices. Yum!

Sweet & Salty Roasted Chickpeas

  • ii cans chickpeas (garbanzo beans)
  • 1 tablespoon dear
  • ¼-ane/2 teaspoon sea salt

  1. Drain and rinse the chickpeas nether cold water. Dump them in a single layer onto a paper towel and allow to dry completely.

  5. Once the oven is preheated (or after fifteen minutes), take the chickpeas out, drizzle with dear and sprinkle with salt. Make sure all of the chickpeas are evenly coated and and then return the pan to the oven.
  6. Cook for some other 20-30 minutes at 425 degrees F, stirring in one case halfway through.
  7. Turn off the oven, open the oven door slightly, and exit the pan of chickpeas in the oven while it cools. This is another optional step that helps give the crunchiest issue.
  8. Once they have cooled completely, remove from the oven and enjoy! They volition stay crunchy in a ziplock purse for a few days...if they last that long. 🙂
